She has an oval face with beautiful facial features and structure. She has long brown hair like Elena, although she prefers to wear her hair in curls, while Elena wears her hair straight, though Katherine will occasionally straighten her hair if she is trying to impersonate Elena, like she did for the Masquerade Ball. Katherine has almond-shaped, deep brown eyes with thick dark lashes, similar to Elena's eyes, although Katherine's eyes seem to be darker in color, and having a "smokey" and "shadowy" appearance. Katherine also wears heavier make up while Elena's is more casual. Katherine's overall appearance is described as sexy, seductive.
Katherine's sense of fashion is more chic and mature then Elena's. She seems to favor clothes which are black in color and is often seen wearing tight leather pants and spike heels. Katherine has a pretty wide fashion sense. Her casual dressing style is a little edgier than Elena's. A little tighter, form fitting, maybe sexier but not outlandish. There is a cool and elegant demeanor about Katherine. Katherine always wears a blue lapis lazuli necklace, made by Emily Bennett, to protect her from the sun. Katherine is very vain and narcissistic about her looks, and has no problem using her sexuality and her beauty to get what she wants.[/justify]

[/font][/size][/b] The many traits of Katherine can be seen as the most manipulative and vindictive person on the planet. She knows she what wants and she knows how to get it regardless of playing herself or playing the role of another, she is a brilliant actress without needing to be a celebrity or being infamous. She can take care of herself. She doesn't need anybody. Without that beating heart, she's worse than a cunning, bitter and heartless person. She's far worse, but there at times where she can be less than that, around a certain somebody. When the opportunity comes to the Salvatore Brothers, she takes it and grabs it, pinning it down with a knife. The loving part of her is deep within her along the fiery blood ties of her existence. Katherine is very corruptible and does not care if she messes up your life just to salvage her own. She will admit that she is indeed selfish. Her wicked attitude brings on that she can't be trusted. Katherine uses people to gain what she wants or needs. Then she will toss you away like trash. It doesn't matter how far she will go, but she will go far, deadly much to say. Katherine is very sinful, flirtatious, but has a bad side of her that not many want to see. She's cruel and calculating, and has a very harsh and tainted side of her. Katherine will do things her way if it isn't done correctly. No one should like allowing her to be disappointed, especially in bed.[/justify]

[/font][/size][/b] Katherine is a young woman with whom both Damon and Stefan Salvatore fell in love. However, she was revealed to be a vampire with a cold and calculating personality. She had plans to turn both Stefan and Damon into vampires and for the three to spend all eternity together. Her manipulation was one of the reasons that drove the two brothers apart.Along with her vampire friend Pearl and her witch servant Emily Bennett, Katherine realized that the Founding Families of Mystic Falls knew that vampires were running around the town. However, despite Pearl's constant warnings, Katherine refused to abandon her plans with the Salvatore brothers. When she ingested the vervain in Stefan's blood (that his father had made him drink), she was captured by the townspeople and burned in Fell's Church with Pearl and 25 other vampires.
In 2009, Damon told Stefan that he had made a deal with Emily to cast a spell that would protect Katherine and keep her in a mummified state until he could wake her again. When Bonnie Bennett and her grandmother opened the tomb, Katherine wasn't in it. Pearl revealed to him that Katherine had escaped by compelling the guard that had been keeping them. Anna, Pearl's daughter, told him that she had never loved him and that she was no longer interested in him. Isobel had been said to have met Katherine shortly after she was turned. Katherine returns and is discovered making out with Damon, who is thinking he is kissing Elena.
